Heading up to Brenda's house, the other half of RICK|VICK to work on a leather straight jacket dress for Desirée. Should be fun, I have an empty bus all to myself.

Monkey Slut

Just found the MISFITS off of hulu and I am smitten. Another BBC teen series with strong actors, clever writing and off the wall stories without being over the top. Euro-racy enough to require an American adaptation which I could see them doing, or maybe that was what Heroes was supposed to be.

Two Weeks Left

So where do I find people to back my project? I feel so lame that I cannot get these projects to fruition. What can a girl do. I think they are cool. I only need 12 people at the $25 level to make it. Hooray.

art & religion

I love the blur between philosophy and propoganda in organized religion. I realize tha the church made many a masterpiece possible, but I find this a little more on the poster art side of the scale, not that posters aren't beautiful. They are and so is this.

Not Paris but something wonderful

Last night was a "barbeck," otherwise known as a barbeque at an amazing house on the edge of a little valley. The homme is a renovator, la femme an artiste, and the daughter a super talented fashion designer and artist who is presenting her first show at the new library building in an ancient tiny village.

I am going to try to spend sometime with that family as they also have a group of artists that meet on thursdays and share the cost of a model. Who knows, I may model? I need the euros!

We had apperatifs and a disscussion in the front garden full of flowers and other beautiful plants. Charlie played with their big german shepard and rolled in the grass full of country smells. Then to the back yard with salad and vegetqbles and a bbq of local meats, local cheese for me and deserts. Many kisses and then I drove home. This afternoon a pique-nique with all the villagers: children and adults, and one old man shouting "on a faim!" meaning we are hungry. Finally he pulled out his whistle and it began....

Le Chateau

This is the backside of the chateau, otherwise known as the "castle" around here. The side facing the rest of the valley and village remains its original stucco grey on stone colors. I am expecting the first shipment of the fanily on the 31st of May. It is lonely in that big place. There is a big field of wildflowers and a petit lac (pond) between the chateau and the building where I sleep. I must admit the night noises get me a bit, it sounds like a jungle and the old houses make their own noises. I think it must have been a firehouse or something. There are enormous doors at the front and back. There are multiple springs around the property and Charlie likes drinking right from the source. I hope it is not bad for him. It is good enough for the goats and cows that roam around all day in the sun and grasses. The neighbor has horse and geese and cats and stuff like that. Charlie is the best company with his smiling face and happy
robot walk. He loves all the smells and sounds and keeps me warm at night. I've read a lot of books in between cleaning everything. There are beds to make and a layer of dust on every surface. I hope the family is happy with the condition of the place when they arrive. We'll see...

That's my window on the top left there.

à bien tot.
